Why are 22-24 images being created for each 1 uploaded?

    Several days ago, it was only creating 2 different sizes for each image I uploaded (150×150 and 300xheight). I didn’t change anything, but now it creates over 20 sizes! For example, when I upload image.jpg, it makes image-196×118.jpg, etc. in my upload folder. It still does it even if I put all zeros in the media settings image sizes. If I put the sizes I want in media settings, it makes those plus 20 more. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Have you tried switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    Thank you, I hadn’t thought of trying that. It is something wrong with my theme.
