   Guess never really seen the need for this on my Varnish server.
   Can you explain a bit better why this is necessary as a plugin?

   I've found a number of cases where something sticks there, particularly when using heaving caching (it helps a lot with AWS micro instances). This is just a quick way to clear those pesky pages when needed.

   It's admittedly a VERY niche market but hopefully a few people can make use of it.
