   Hi

   First Post.

   So I have been falling in love with WordPress happily over the last few days and am running a test site on a local host ( MAMP ).

   So after making a cup of tea (which I don't think was the cause of this problem) when I visit my site I just see...

   A blank page.... blank... no error mesage, nothing

   Same story for the index page or any inside pages as tested by

   http://localhost:8888/wordpress/

   http://localhost:8888/wordpress/?page_id=18

   I can get into the admin area OK via http://localhost:8888/wordpress/wp_admin so all my pages clearly exist, they just don't display.

   OK - so I did install a plug-in - (page flip), and have now de-activated it. This doesn't change anything and surely didn't cause it.

   So I wonder what I did do ? I'm sure I have not been the first to do this...

   I promise to post a nice summary of teh solution when I find it

   I was right. Nothing to do with the plug in or the cup of tea.

   I had removed accidentally removed a theme folder from /wp-content/themes.

   (this done when uploading to my remote server)

   So - when the screen goes blank and no error messages appear your site is probably looking for a theme that isn't there.
