Hi there, I am experiencing a weird shift on the website I’m building for my wife. To duplicate it, you can:

    1. Start at http://www.the-gardenschool.org/
    2. Click on the Montessori tab on the menu bar
    3. Last, go to the Downloads tab on the menu bar

See how the whole Downloads page seems to shift compared to the other pages of the site? It’s frustrating, since we’re obviously trying to go for simplicity in the design.

Does anyone have an idea of how to keep that Downloads page from shifting to the right? Thanks in advance for help.

The whole Downloads page is still shifting to the right! Argh!

I’ve been wracking my brain trying to figure this out, with no luck at all. Any advice on this? I’d definitely appreciate any help anyone can offer. Thanks.

    In FireFox nothing is “shifted”.
Anyway, when display problems, your first step should always be validating the site:
    http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.the-gardenschool.org%2F%3Fpage_id%3D52

The only shift that I see comes from the page length. The Montessori page exceeds the vertical length of 1600×1200 displays, so a scroll bar appears on the right side of all browsers. That will change the page width and center the page differently. The Downloads page fits on one screen, so no scroll bar and no shift.

Oh, are you talking about that?
It is so obvious that shorter pages don’t have the scrollbar that I didn’t even pay attention to that…
There was a solution posted for it somewhere in the forums – search for it.

Thanks to both of you. Langsuyar, the scroll bar (or lack thereof) was the problem. Genius! Thanks again, this helped a lot.

And I just lengthened the page by adding a few & nbsp; tags. Thanks again.
