I am in desparate need of help. I downloaded a theme the other day and it completely destroyed my blog. This is what I get when I type in my website address: http://adrianhines.com

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare widget_twitter() (previously declared in /home/content/a/h/i/ahines79/html/wp-content/themes/snowblind/widgets/widget_twitter.php:3) in /home/content/a/h/i/ahines79/html/wp-content/plugins/twitter-for-wordpress/twitter.php on line 144

Does anybody know what that means? Does anybody know how I can get my blog up and running again? Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm no expert, but it looks to me like the theme is trying to call a twitter widget that you aren't using. Can you switch back to your original theme?

    Turn off the Twitter widget.

I can't even log in to turn it off. It has corrupted everything. When I go to my log in screen it gives me the same message as when I go to my personal website.

Login via FTP and rename or delete the plugin.

You should have access via FTP to your webhost. When you're logged in via FTP, go to the WordPress folder and then in wp-content, go to plugins, and remove the Twitter For WordPress plugin. It sounds like that is what is causing trouble. Your webhost should have instructions for how to log in via FTP on their website, and if not a quick call or email to support should get to someone who can help you.

If you want to run your site urgently. then deactivate twitter-for-wordpress from your plugin->installed
