• Earlier today, I attempted to move my WordPress installation from one subdomain to another (as a test run for a migration to the root, which I’ve never done before). The move didn’t work, so I deleted the second subdomain and changed the URI and links back to the original subdomain. However, since doing that, I’m getting a lot of white screen errors.

I had backed up the site and the database prior to starting the ill-fated move, so I decided to restore to that backup. (Everything was working fine before.) However, after the restore (which the utility said completed successfully), I’m still getting a white screen error if I try to update permalinks, which one of my plugins requires.

Since I had restored all the plugin and theme files to their last good state, I figured maybe one of the WordPress core files (which aren’t included in the backup) had gotten corrupted. I replaced the wp-admin and wp-include directories from a clean set of WP 3.6.1 files.

Even after that, I still get a white screen error if I try to update permalinks. This is pretty frustrating, but I’m at a loss.

    Anyone have any suggestions?
