White Screen of Death on all but Classic & Default

    Hi,

    Upgraded to 2.7 last night and since then have had nothing but hassles with one of my blogs.

    If I choose any bar classic or default themes (I’ve since found some others that work e.g. Floristica) I get nothing but a white screen. I can still login to admin panel but nothing on the site. I can see it and it does work if i click Visit the Site through the admin panel and not if I type the address into the address bar.

    I thought it was a 2.7 problem so I went back to 2.6.5 and the problem has come with me. Still getting white screen on 90% of themes.

    I was using Ferevens_A if that helps.

    Any ideas?

    I should add that I have tried disabling all my plugins and that didn’t work either.

    I upgraded to 2.7 on another blog and that is working fine. Any ideas?

    Totally stunned.

    My wife came up and innocently suggested that I wasn’t using upper case letters at the end of the URL. I arrogantly told her it made no difference as URLs weren’t case sensitive and just to show her put in the necessary uppercase letters.

    BINGO! All working again.

    Since when are URLs case sensitive.

    All happy now. One afternoon completely wasted right enough.

    Since when are URLs case sensitive

    Since forever. Really, it depends on your server. Windows servers are always case insensitive (ABOUT = about = AbOuT etc). Unix/Linux can go either way but generally default to case sensitive.
