    Hello,

When I try to add a plugin in the administration area I get a white screen. I click on Plugins > Add New and then find the plugin that I'm looking for. When I click on Install it brinks up a blank screen.
Therefore I've had to install existing plugins via Filezilla which is not ideal. All plugins are currently deactivated. The website is http://www.woodlandprint.com/newwebsite. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please have a look at the following link to see the problem: http://www.screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cXfvYJbh4

I'm using WordPress 3.1.1 and haven't yet upgraded to WordPress 3.1.2.

    Thank you.

Have you ever been able to add plugins this way? That is, has it worked in the past?

No it hasn't. I've always had to install via FTP. So would that indicate that there may have been an error during WordPress installation?

Maybe, maybe not. If you go to wp-admin/update.php does that form have any values filled out? You should have been asked to fill it out the first time you tried to install something. If you are not getting that screen you may have a broken install. It is also possible that your server is not configured in a way that allows that automatic installation system to work.

Thanks for your help aplkdi. However, I have decided to start it again with another installation of WordPress. All is working fine now so it does seem that there was an error during the previous install.

    Thanks again
