[resolved] white fonts & white background (4 posts)

    This is my first experience with WordPress & Clean and Simple Form.

    Both are excellent.

    Iam using WP 3.8.3 and C&S 4.3.4 Versions.

    This is my contact form:

    http://www.fotoclubconcordia.org/?page_id=16

    If you type in any box you can't see what are you writing. Your typing is in white fonts, as the background.

    I know I have a problem with some CSS style somewhere, but I can't figure where is it.

    Any help is really welcomed.

    Thanks in advance,

    Daniel.

    Hi there,

    Rather oddly your theme is setting input font colours to the same colour as your background!

    On line 2211 of style.css change this:

    .widget input,
    .widget textarea {
    	background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.1);
    	border-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.2);
    	color: #fff;
    	font-size: 16px;
    	padding: 1px 2px 2px 4px;
    }

    to this:

    .widget input,
    .widget textarea {
    	background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.1);
    	border-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.2);
    	/* color: #fff; */
    	font-size: 16px;
    	padding: 1px 2px 2px 4px;
    }

    Hi Nicholas,

    First of all, THANKS. Your solution works perfectly!

    I scuba dive my CSS a little (I know the problem was there) but I'm not good enough to pinpoint the offending line in the way you done.

    Iam using a child template of WordPress twenty fourteen, and I just invoke the original CSS file with this:

    @import url("../twentyfourteen/style.css");

    I don't know if the lines you correct are part on the original style.css file from twentyfouteen template, but sincerly I don't remeber me introducing this modification.

    As I say, thanks again.

    Your form works like a charm!

    Hi,

    Looking back at your link it looks as if you have found the right file to change. It was the style.css of your child theme.

    Thanks Meg
