I am using WP 2.9.1 for my web site meetdan.info. Tried Firefox (all plugins and extension disabled) and Google Chrome to no avail. Switched from Linquist 1.0 theme by Redworks to WP default 1.6; font still invisible. I can only see what I type if I go back and highlight it.
I desperately need to be able to quickly and effectively create content since this site is for a class project worth 50% of my overall grade. Please help I am desperate and running out of time.

Have you tried:
- deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
- switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?
- resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
- re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress?
