Post Thumbnail Editor
White box after clicking "okay, these look good" (7 posts)

    Hi there,

    After I click the "Okay, these look good..." it slides across and it's just a white box with "Post Thumbnail Editor" as the title. Tried it a couple of times and same problem. So I can't actually modify the images. Using Firefox 5 and WP 3.2.1.

    Also I noticed when I was using an earlier version of your plugin, you could edit the images after you click on "edit image" button. It used to be on the right hand side underneath the image cropping that wordpress provides. Is this no longer the case? Is the only way to get to it from the media screen and by clicking the "thumbnails" link? I ask because I have disabled the media library for my users on this particular site and now I don't think they have any way to edit their images :)

    Thanks

    Wow, okay I think that there must be some sort of an issue with some installs that sounds like what you are seeing ( http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-post-thumbnail-editor-images-not-saving ). I haven't found a reason for this other than it appears that the PHP doesn't see any images submitted to save. I'm going to integrate some debugging utilities and hopefully I can find something in the next week or two.

    Follow the issue on github.

    Users can start PTE in:

    1. the media library
    2. the image edit screen (instead of a dropdown box it is now just a link that says, "Post Thumbnail Editor". http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/post-thumbnail-editor/screenshots/
    3. The Post gallery should now have a link to Post Thumbnail Editor as a shortcut instead of requiring the user to go into the edit screen. https://github.com/sewpafly/post-thumbnail-editor/blob/master/screenshot-6.jpg

    If you're having a problem finding them, or if they aren't there, maybe you would be willing to help me debug the issue.

    Thanks. I will poke around as to why PTE isn't showing on the edit image screen and post back if I find anything. Perhaps another plugin is interfering with it.

    This appears to happen if you try to set two thumbnails that have the exact same dimensions. I have several thumbnails that are 200x200 pixels but have different names. If I edit one of them, they all change but if I edit more than one, I get the blank screen.

    I hope this helps.

    @stuartist - thanks, I'll try this.

    @andrewmunro - do you have multiple thumbnails with the same size?

    In my particular instance I have 2 sizes. 1 thumbnail size (there's about 4 images total) and 1x medium-ish sized one. Trying to edit the thumbnails for either produces a white screen.
