Hi Carolyn, you should be able to set a custom background to replace the white in Appearance>Background inside your WordPress admin panel.

Where exactly would that be? From the dashboard menu i went to theme and clicked on customized. thats where I seen it in other themes. There is nothing that says background in this section. I’ve been looking for a long time and Im not sure where else to look 🙁
Can you be more specific? thank you
btw I when I searched wordpress about accessing the background via admin panel it showed me this: http://codex.wordpress.org/File:appearance-background.png
in the “appearance” section on my dashboard I do not see “background” as an drop down option.
Sorry Carolyn, I forgot to enable that feature. You can add the following code on its own line at the bottom of the functions.php file (Appearance>Editor>functions.php) or you can wait a little bit for an official update. I’m not sure how long it would take the theme developers to push it through live. Code:
add_theme_support( 'custom-background' );
