There is a letter “S” that is appearing in the top left hand column of my site. If I look at the code, via Firebug, it looks like it is appearing before the body tag. I have looked through every template trying to figure out where this “s” is hiding but having no luck.

The “s” appears on the top of every page, on the top in the dashboard and even in the top of the widgets where you input the name of a widget. After going through the template I though maybe it was somewhere in wp-admin but not having much luck there either.

Could someone please help if they know how to determine where the “S” is?

    My site: http://www.ittavi.com

Thanks so much for any help!

  • Let’s narrow the field down a little first. Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

Thanks for the help. I actually figured it out. It was in my functions.php file. After the last ?> there was a little “s” hiding all by itself 🙂
