We have an intranet site that is built using RoboHelp. It has 1000 pages or so detailing just about everything there is to know about our software product - hardware, software and peripherals that are compabile with it, etc. RoboHelp provides a pretty nice front-end tree structure that lets the end user drill down into what they need pretty quickly. The format is nice. But, it is a bear to manipulate. Publishing even small changes requires a rebuild of the entire site, which takes several hours.
I'm thinking about redoing the whole thing in WordPress. Is there a plugin or two that could help with this? I'm fairly new to WordPress, so I'm not really sure what I should be asking. I have set up a few small sites, but nothing of this magnitude. Is there documentation somewhere that I could read about how to set up a documentation site?
