Which and where is the newest stable version of WP (2 posts)

    Hello

    Could someone please tell me which is the newest, stable version of WordPress - and asap please!.

    I am just starting and would like to instal the 'newest' version so I don't have to learn everything twice.

    I clicked on a link that said the newest version (5.something?)could be found in an 'archive' but it just bought up a page that said I had no permission being there (...thought I was back at school for a minute!)

    it's school only in that it keeps you learning. :)
