   I'm a newbie and have just set up my first blog http://borealowl.net. I've grepped and grepped, but I can't find where the text for the Kubrick header is. Now it says "The Boreal Owl" and below than the standard "Just another WordPress Weblog." Where is that kept in the code files? I found one forum post that referred to header text, but the help unfortunately led to a dead link...

   Those settings live in the database. Have a look at Settings --> General in your WP admin area.

   But of course! If it's not in the code then where else could it be but the so-called database! Sorry for the newbie muddle.

   you can change the blog "title" & "descriptions" inside your WP admin dashboard > (general) settings

   its inside your wordpress theme directory */wp-content/themes/default/

   fgrep "bloginfo" /wp-content/themes/default/header.php
