Seriously. Post pages not showing up; they're there in wordpress. Is this a hosting problem?

Posted 6 years ago #Hello, my site has disappeared too! I have been away for a week and I am just now noticing it.

I can log into the backoffice and click manage and view the post that way but when I go the home url I get nothing.

Posted 6 years ago #Not that I know of. I did a new post and set it to the future; I could erase it asnd see if that fixes the probelm.

Posted 6 years ago #I will fix that -- that has been there for ages, but maybe something is starting anew? It looks like all of the category content in sidebars is there, just not the actual posts. They are all fine in wordpress and there.

Posted 6 years ago #thank you -- actually I had my default permission set wrong and some clever person was fooling with them. Thank god I had a backup. Is there a good permissions tutorial on the wiki besides that one page?

Check you
wp-config.phpfile or ask your hosting provider. It sounds like the database information in thewp-config.phpfile may have been altered, or your WordPress MySQL database may have been altered or deleted. -

Posted 6 years ago #Miklb - I don't have a *recent* backup. I seem to still have my MySQL database where it should be. The host is checking into it now. I have no idea what's happened.

Posted 6 years ago #No. I wouldn't run install. It will then attempt to write a new DB. You want to try and recreate your config.php, or worse case scenario, export your DB, delete everything, clean install, then re-import the DB.

Posted 6 years ago #My config.php file is still intact, it has the name of the database, etc in it. The database is also there. My host chat support says I should open a ticket.
