   Hello all.

   we do NOT upload the files into a folder called /wordpress/... we just upload the files right into the HTDOCS folder right? for the installation to be accessible persay through: http://www.domainname.com/wp-admin/install.php

   or http://www.domainname.com/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php ??

   I want my blog to be on the main page of http://www.domainname.com not into a folder.

   Yes, upload the files into the root directory for your domain. wp-content, wp-includes, and wp-admin should be subdirectories underneith that directory.
