OK, first off I know email setup well and done it with Gallery, Joomla! and other PHP solutions. I run my own mailserver and know all the config info. With that said, where the $!@#@$$!! do you config this stuff in word press?

I cannot get new user notifications to work, comment notifications, etc.

I see nothing in the setup nor admin for setting up SMTP servers, usernames, etc.

    Useful comments would be appricated!

WordPress does not use SMTP by default. It uses PHP mail.

If you prefer to use SMTP (as I do too), you should try this plugin. It works great.

Install it, setup the configuration to hit your SMTP sever, and you'll never have to worry about it again.

Thanks guys, great stuff. Not sure why these answers were not apparent to me! I love all the widget/programing options but getting through that extensive list and trial/error can take some time!
