Running RYU theme on my new blog…

I’m styling it at the moment, but is having a real hard time finding the CSS part that controls the “quote”-post format…

When I’m writing in a normal post, and make some of the text a “quote”… it is styled exactly as I want it… But i want the “quote”-post to be styled the same way, but cant find the right place to put the css code…

    I’m loosing my hair here… 😉

  • Hi Uffe,
Look for two places: near line 220 in style.css, blockquote down to the blockquote cite — all those rules control general blockquote styling in all posts.

For the Quote post format, see .format-quote near line 1036. That is a class attribute on the “article” element that holds the post content. So you can use it to style anything inside the content of a Quote post.

    Hi Lance…

Thanks for the help, It worked fine… The only thing left still not perfect with the quote-format post is, that the border on the left continues one line more than the text itself… and I can’t really figure out why..

(the post I’m talking about is the first post under the video on the front page – that is a quote-format post)

    KInd regards
    Uffe

Ps. If you wanna see it, you can do so here: iuffe.com

Try wrapping the text in a blockquote, so it’s using blockquote and not paragraph tags.

Otherwise the paragraph styles for a large bottom margin are what gives it the look you’re talking about.

Great to hear. Glad you’re using this theme. 🙂
