I've just got WP running and am setting up my site using the Suffusion template.
I'm new to all this and I don't know where to place my image files. I'm OK uploading them from my computer but I don't know where to place them when they have to be stored on the web.
I have created an image to try out as a custom header. I tried putting it in a folder called Brens-images at the top of the tree (same level as wp-admin). Suffusion couldn't find it. I tried putting the Brens-images under wp-admin/images. It still couldn't find it.
I don't know what I'm doing. I thought it would pick up a file anywhere if I gave the whole url including the http:// but it doesn't seem to. Am I doing something horribly recursive by placing it under wp-admin?
My domain is http://www.communicatewithcartoons.co.uk
click on your theme "options" and it should tell you how to place your images for your header. it may even allow you to upload one from the backend depending on the theme. go to your dashboard and scroll down to "themes" and click on "suffusion options."
hope that helps.

Thanks zkwc. I've spent quite a while trying to place the header using the options in suffusion. It seems easy, and I don't think I've made a mistake there (although this is the first place to assume I've done something wrong).
I really don't understand where one is supposed to keep images so I suspected I might not be doing that right either.
What is the backend? Sorry - I'm working hard on getting to know web development terms but I still have to ask a lot.

Ok, bit more info. I'm not getting the Suffusion options wrong. I just tried pulling in joe random image from somewhere else on the internet and that worked OK.
I seem to be storing my image someplace it can't be found on my site.

Fixed!!!
I mssed out a capital letter on the folder name. That took me all morning and a serious headache. I won't make that mistake again though, and I worked out a few other things in my search for the answer.
Thanks again for your help zkwc, much appreciated.
cheers
