    Hi,

I want to change the header image. I'm using the default theme.

I've searched and I've found people saying I should go to "wp-content/themes/default/images".

    But where is "wp-content/themes/default/images"?

I installed wordpress thru godaddy. Do I find the location in my godaddy account? or at the wordpress admin, or where?

I can't find the location in either place.

I really need this spelling out to me in baby language if possible. Like 'go here' 'click on this' etc.

Then once I'm there, I'm not clear on how to actually change the image.

I've seen advice that says 'upload a new image with FTP'. I have no clue how to do that. Is it just one image i need to change? What's the name of the image? Is there a way i can just upload a new image without ftp?

    thanks.

Then looks like you need to learn how to use an FTP client such as FileZilla so see:
    http://help.banff.org/using_filezilla/index.html
    and
    Using_FileZilla

After that you will want to use FileZilla to look at the various folders at your Godaddy site to find the wp-content/themes/default folder.

From there, the Designing Headers article may be more useful.
