[resolved] Where is the import command for the Google webfonts? (7 posts)

    I just wanted to change the Arvo font to something else - of course I could add another font but for performance reasons I want to change it - in which file did you include the import command? Could not find it in style.css

    <link rel='stylesheet' id='quark-arvo-css' href='http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Arvo:400&subset=latin' type='text/css' media='all' />

    I think I found it :-)
    The definition is in functions.php

    Yup! The fonts are enqueued in functions.php in the quark_scripts_styles() function. Glad you found it. :-)

    I would also like to use another font but have no idea how to begin messing around with functions.php. Look a bit intense or my non-code based brain.

    I did just try to change Arvo to Open Sans in the style.css but it seems to be reverting to Georgia. This suggests I need to import the Google Webfont as the user above suggests but..

    I hope it's not too difficult. I love how clean the theme is. I'm hoping it's going to suit my new project perfectly.

    Thanks a lot.

    If you'd like to go to the Theme homepage (there's a link on the Description tab, in the sidebar) and once there, send me an email via my Contact page. Include a link to the Google font you want to use and I'll see if i can help you out with the code.

    I know this thread is marked as [resolved], but for the Google Web Fonts, I've used the plugin - WP Google Fonts. Works like a charm in Quark, which I must say, is so far, the best solution for a 'blank' responsive theme, with so much room for customization. I've tried other responsive themes, but I decided on this one because of its ease of use. Thanks so much for this. Keep up the great work.

    Thanks for that. Good to know the Google fonts plugin works. Glad you're enjoying the theme :-)
