where is the head section of a WP page

    I am totally new to WP, but i am trying to do some jquery sliders on a page and I assume that the js files are not inserted correctly (I am used to static html so bear with me….I wasn’t even very good at that)

    Do I just insert into the head or footer section in the widget area? I guess I am just lost…
