I have been looking for the same but I suppose it doesn’t exist? I’ve also browsed the forum for seemingly basic questions but most of the questions on the forum have no answers. I get the impression there is no development or real activity hear. I am a beginner in WP so coding is not an option. Was NextGen the wrong choice? What are the best alternatives I should try next?
Coming to the same conclusion. I’m strong with PHP but new to WP and even basic examples on the Nextgen website don’t work in WP.
I see a lot of this on WP: one-man shows building out plugins and then little or no real documentation because they get burned out on it. It’s too bad because NG looked good.

If basic examples on WP dont work, make sure that you have the NextGen Gallery plugin installed, activated, and that you have some images uploaded into a gallery. This means not using the default upload function of WP, but the Gallery one.
