Where exactly are the settings stored?

    They’re stored as theme_mods, which are special theme-specific options in the wp_options table. If you switched to a child theme then they would be lost (by design), but if you migrated the entire site including the options it carry over just fine. And it’s only two fields if for some reason it doesn’t…
