If you’re using NGG v2.x, you would enter it into the first one, if you’re using NGG 1.9.x, you would use the second.
You don’t enter that URL into your browser, that is the location in your WP install to find the correct file, depending on the settings you have used when inserting the gallery into a WP post or page.
Hi Shauno,
Ok I figured out the top but now I encounter the same problem that i found one another forum post
“I want to add the tag to
/nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/nextgen_basic_singlepic/templates/nextgen_basic_singlepic.php
But as before i cannot find this file in the NextGen Gallery directory. All i see is,
Plugin Files
nextgen-gallery/nggallery.php
nextgen-gallery/pope/README.txt
nextgen-gallery/non_pope/class.nextgen_settings.php
nextgen-gallery/non_pope/class.photocrati_installer.php
nextgen-gallery/non_pope/class.photocrati_settings_manager.php
nextgen-gallery/non_pope/class.photocrati_cache.php
nextgen-gallery/index.html
nextgen-gallery/changelog.txt
nextgen-gallery/license.txt
nextgen-gallery/wordpress_helpers.php
nextgen-gallery/readme.txt
Ive spent a good amount of time trying to locate it, but have been unsuccessful.”
You then answered as follows:
“Then here is the absolute full path to the template you need to alter:
http://www.playfulpatterns.com/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/nextgen_basic_singlepic/templates/nextgen_basic_singlepic.php”
I’m not sure what to do with the above http:// address?
If I put it in my browser (which I’m assuming I shouldnt be doing – I get a message that says “no image found”
Thank you for being patient with me and for helping me

The NGG file structure goes too “deep” for the WP plugin editor to handle, so you need to find the file via FTP. You can then download and edit the file, and re-upload it via FTP again.
