where do I find the wp_get_archives template tag? (3 posts)

    I'm using Fantastico v2.0.2 and I'm not terribly technically inclined.

    I'd like to set up my Archives so that they list the last, say, 10, or 15, posts.

    In the supporting documentation, I see that I have to find:

    type=monthly

    somewhere and replace it with:

    <?php wp_get_archives('type=postbypost&limit15'); ?>

    but where???????

    I go to File Manager at the hosting site I'm using, and I look for a sidebar or archive file, which I thought might be where I'd find what I need, but I don't event see such files.

    Can someone, anyone, please tell me, step-by-step, where to look?

    For example, which folder do I look in?

    Once nside the right folder, what is the file name I look for?

    I'd be eternally grateful if anyone can help.

    I look at the supporting documentation, but for someone like me, who's new to all this, the documentation is written assuming that the reader knows the starting point, and so just goes on to describe what action to take, but I don't know what the starting point is.

    I'm not dumb and I'll get the hang of this (I already figured out Permalinks using the support documentation), but I'm really frsutrated on this one.

    Thanks in advance!

    Go to your WP dashboard and click on
    "Presentation: -> Theme Editor
    The files will be on your right.
