I am using AKismet for our werdpress website, and when I go to [Akismet stats] page in wp-admin, it says:

24 spams caught, 4 legitimate comments, and an overall accuracy rate of 100.000%.

Sounds good to me, but I am wondering where the spam comments go. I would like to confirm them once in a while just to make sure Akismet is not making too many false-positives.

When I go to comments -> spam folder, it currently lists a single spam comment (certainly not 24) which I guess may be recently intercepted by Akismet. It is as if it DELETES comments in spam folder automatically after a short time. However, I can not find ANY settings if this is the case. Anyone with any knowledge on this?

    The website is:
    http://imagevuex.com

    Thanks!

    Two things could be happening:

    1. Akismet hides duplicate spam comments for your convenience.

    2. Akismet automatically deletes spam comments after 15 days.

Unfortunately, neither function is user customizable.

Akismet makes no effort to hide duplicate comments. It will however purge comments marked as spam that are older than 15 days.

Thanks for clarifying that. Could have sworn that I read it somewhere though.
