   Perhaps your theme files are damaged.

   Has anyone had access to your site? Or perhaps your host is doing something to the server?

   What was the last change that you made?

   You can also try deactivating and reactivating the theme.

   Bad code in the searchform.php file of your theme. Go fix it.

   couldn't find the bad code. switched themes and is working again. thanks...
