Hi! I'm trying to give WordPress its own directory while leaving the wordpress index file in the root directory and I'm following this instruction: http://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory

I got up to the part where I'm supposed to move the index.php and all the .htaccess files to my root directory... only problem is I can't seem to find the .htaccess files (I don't even know what those files are!). Can someone tell me where I can find them? THANKS!!

    There's only one .htaccess file.

On most systems it would be hidden (if it exists), so you'd want to set your ftp client to display hidden files:

You could use the find command in Linux. Like this:

    find -name / htaccess

    Or it my be:

    find -name / .htaccess

But the first one should find it too.
