    Hello Everyone,

    I have a local install of a apache on my local web server, i'm running ubuntu. Where are the actual mysql databases stored, so I know where to pull them from to deploy them to a new server.

    Thanks
    Zach

    You don't copy them. You export them to a file using a tool such as phpMyAdmin or MySQL admin from the console.

    That makes sense, BUT, I don't know where the MySQL Databases are to dump them from. I can't specify a file that I don't know where it is.

    Thanks
    Zach

    well,
    if you are looking for the databases, then:

    mysql -u root -p
    //type the password.
    show databases;
    // look for the databases.
