When will update-links work? (7 posts)

Does anyone here know when api.pingomatic.com might start responding to to calls from update-links.php again? Alternatively, are there any plans to rewrite update-links.php to query another updated-blog notification service?

I would have to assume that the answer to your second question is "never"....

You might just consider pingoat instead.

Pingoat's new to me. Any idea how to query it with a list of links?

How do I use pingoat to update my blogroll?

No, I don't have any ideas because I simply don't bother with all that.

Podz I believe uses pingoat. There's a codex article on other options: Update_Services

From that page, this is the link to pingoat: http://www.pingoat.com/

    Couple helpful links:

I think there's some confusion here between services to ping when you update your weblog and services to query to find out who else has updated theirs. I'm happy to continue to ping pingomatic when I update mine, but I'd like to find a working alternative service to query until the pingomatic api gets fixed.
