• I am looking for a way to display content from sites that don’t have rss delivery. Posting by email is an option, but I would like to see what else is available. Xoops CMS has a module that will capture a sites front page and tidy up the content with a nice preview. Is there a wordpress equivelent?

Hi guys. Is there a way to display site content when no rss is available? I have a broadcast blog setup for a local engineer chapter and I want to pull info from http://www.fcc.gov. Is there a way to do this?

thanks in advance for any help.

there are stand alone scripts that will pull selective content off of sites available on hotscripts.com. They vary in usability because one person’s needs arent likely to match another’s.

if you absolutely cannot do without such a thing, I reccommend contacting someone VERY good with php, maybe through the hackers list, or even rentacoder.com and pay for a custom script — that way you can let whoever writes it know exactly what info you need.

rentacoder is more reasonable than you might think, people tend to to get pretty competitive when they know theyre not the only one up for the job.

    hi whooami and thanks.
I might try to get the post by email working. Hopefully I can get the material formatted and looking good… not sure about this… sigh.

    also,
I have found inlineRSS as a plugin, and think it will allow me to pull the fcc.gov html?

    thanks for your suggestions.
