When I submit all of these sitemaps to google I get an error message.

When I submit these sitemaps to google webmaster tools:
    http://www.hippressurecooking.com/category-sitemap.xml
    http://www.hippressurecooking.com/forum-sitemap.xml
    http://www.hippressurecooking.com/page-sitemap.xml
    http://www.hippressurecooking.com/post-sitemap.xml
    http://www.hippressurecooking.com/post_tag-sitemap.xml
    http://www.hippressurecooking.com/reply-sitemap.xml
    http://www.hippressurecooking.com/topic-sitemap.xml

I get this error message, for each one:
    Network unreachable: Network unreachable
    HTTP Error: 500

I expected it to be accepted.

    Thank you,

    L

P.S. Tried to search the support forum but can only search ALL of WordPress - no obvious way to search only your support forum. But I read through the posts in the last four pages and no one reported this same exact problem!

In the meantime, I read this document:
    http://yoast.com/xml-sitemap-in-the-wordpress-seo-plugin/

And looked for the sitemaps index file:
    http://hippressurecooking.com/sitemap_index.xml

And instead I received an error message:
Error loading stylesheet: An unknown error has occurred (805303f4)http://www.hippressurecooking.com/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/css/xml-sitemap-xsl.php

I was expecting to see the index file.

    Thanks,

    L

Still waiting for some kind of support - 5 days later. Has this product been abandoned by the developer?

For the error with loading stylesheet, see this post: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/getting-a-404-error-on-my-sitemap?replies=5

This product is not abandoned by any means, but generally speaking, don't expect fast support from free/open source software since the dev isn't entitled to provide it. Sometimes, it's just volunteers like myself that would reply :)

You should've posted your reply here, btw :)

Maybe I'm having a slightly different problem to what you linked to.

I can see the sitemaps here:
    http://hippressurecooking.com/sitemap_index.xml

But Google still give me an error message - it's human readable but not sitemaps readable.

    Ciao,

    L

I think there is an option in Google Webmaster Tools regarding using www. or not. Try to check that.

I don't understand, I have it enabled to do both www and not.

    The sitemap also works here:
    http://www.hippressurecooking.com/sitemap_index.xml

When you submit a sitemap to google you only put the file name - the domain is already hard-coded.

    Ciao,

    L

    pazzaglia1,

Did you verify your site with Google Webmaster as http://www.hippressurecooking.com or just hippressurecooking.com? You can find out from your Webmaster's home page.

This www. prefix thingy is a bit tricky; it causes confusions for many people.

Whatever, I removed it. Thanks for trying to help but the plug-in is just too confusing!

    Ciao,

    L
