   Hi there,
   I am developing a WordPress site for someone. I like to do the development on my computer and then when everything is ready, transfer the files and the database content to the live server. My problem is that the development server I have is Apache/PHP/mysql and the live server is IIS/PHP/mysql.

   Beyond the permalink issue (I plan to go with the almost pretty option), does anyone know of any big problems I might anticipate?

   The serialized data will be an issue. It's not enough to just replace my-dev-site.com with my-production-site.com . You need to change the numbers that store the string length in the serialized data.
