   hi all, just want to know what's the Slug, term_group and parent fields for in terms and terms_taxonomy table? please give some examples thanks!

   The terms tables (3 of them) are the new structure for categories (post and link categories) and tags.

   I beleive one of the uses of the slug is to make insure uniqueness for tags or categories. The parent field is used for post categories. I don't think the term_group field is used (at least not yet).
