Whats the point of this rewrite.

    This plugin is an excellent one if you are starting a new WP site. But those who are using it for years and had hundreds of downloads with the old version of the same plugin, this new version is really a frustration. Whats the point of this rewrite if there is no support or compatibility for the older downloads published with the same plugin.

    Then continue using the old version. This update was not forced upon you, hence the versioning.
