    Between a Theme and Template?

    Sorry if that seems a stupid question.

    A theme is what handles the design of the front end to your site. Example: Twenty Ten (the default theme)

    A page template is a special template JUST for a specific page. See: http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Hierarchy

    A theme template is akin to a parent theme, with extra hooks and tools, that can be used to vastly change wordpress into ‘more’ than just a blog. Example: Theme Hybrid, Genesis.
