• hello all,

this is my first post and i am very happy to be communicating with the wordpress community.

    here is my scenario.

i have a “remix contest website” i designed and implemented i am running on wordpress.

what i am attempting to do is after users register for an account, and then upload their mp3 to the website i would like the users information as well as an mp3 link to automatically appear on a page designated to showcase the remixes.

example: joe schmoe uploads his new remix. immediately after the remix page displays in a table or div his avatar, username, real name, location, link to mp3 etc. in chronological order below everyone elses remix div or table. creating a page that will ultimately list every remixer, with info and mp3.

obviously most of the info i’d want to display is located in the user info table native to wordpress…

so to simplify the main Answer i am trying to figure out in This Question is,

what’s the best way to programatically access a wordpress mysql table and automatically display info on a designated page?

this seems like it’s not a super complicated task, but at the same time i know it’s not exactly a simple one either. and to be honest i am not looking for step by step detailed instructions…

merely someone who is kind enough to point me in the right direction. i’m a pretty resourceful researcher as well and have no problem reading documentation or info in books or whatever i need to be self taught.

in fact i’ve actually already attempted to teach myself to find this information online however i have been unsuccessful because i don’t believe i am informed as to what search terms i need to look up.

    thanks for the help!
