   What's the best book on WordPress for building themes, and learning the nuts and bolts of building custom WordPress sites?

   i was at my local bookstore last night and spent some time looking through "Smashing WordPress"

   one of the better ones i've seen, but i'm no expert on wordpress books.

   I also like Smashing WordPress. It's not for the complete newbie, but if you already know HTML, CSS and some PHP, it will take you to the next level.

   Thanks wildscribe, that is exactly where I'm at. Have you been doing WordPress themes?

   I did pick it up this afternoon. I'll let you all know what I think when I'm done.
