    Hi there.

The last 2 posts I have made have been messed up on my main page (but NOT on their permalink pages). Again, this is NEW. For some reason, all the information on my 2 side columns is getting pushed down to the bottom of the page, and it happens on different themes as well. Also, the title on the post is over something that says 'you are here'. It hasn't done this before. I haven't changed any settings at all. Can anyone help? Here is the link to my 'blog: http://katieworld1.com/cactuskate-blog/

    Thanks for any help!

    Katie

On your main page the <div id="breadcrumbs"> is not in the right place.

It should be one level below <div id="expander">, but instead, it's nested several levels deep, so it's positioning itself relative to its parent, which is buried way down in the markup.

I'd recommend comparing your single.php template page and your index.php or home.php, if you use that to see the difference.

Since <div id="breadcrumbs"> is positioned absolutely, relative to #expander, you want it to be a child of #expander, rather than a child of a child of a child of . . .

    Make sense?

    Hi, sewmyheadon, and thanks.

I am kind of new to WordPress. Can you please tell me where I can find that information to change it? Which 'editing function' is it under?

    Again, thanks!

    Hey Katie,

    Here's what I'd do:

Work with a local copy of your theme - if you don't have it on your local PC, download it from your site.

Open up the index.php, page.php and single.php files and compare the locations of the <div id="breadcrumbs"> and make changes as needed.

If you get too lost, you can either post the contents of these files here, or contact me and I'm happy to take a look at the files for you.
