Does anyone have noscript installed and when they visit their site viglink is called? I checked the source of the page and cannot find what's calling it and I have not setup viglink on my site.

    Anyone have an idea?

    Have you tried:

    - deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    - switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

Unfortunately I am stumped. I have deactivate all plugins including akismet. Still showing viglink on website. checked source for all pages with no reference to it... Did switch themes and nothing...

hrm... apparently this is not necessarily a hack as it seems my dns provider allows tracking outgoing links which apparently will append links through viglink. No wonder I could not determine it from the source.

Hey, usera. I'm from VigLink. Who's your DNS provider? We're not aware of anyone using us in that way. Curious to see what they're doing, exactly.

    Thanks!

I am having the same issue. Three of my sites are showing a call to api.viglnk.com at the tail end of the page load. It is even on my admin page. I use networksolutions and godaddy both. The sites go through CloudFlare however when I turn off CloudFlare the call is still made.

Like the above blog owner I cannot find the viglnk.js file in my file directories or a referral to the script file.

I just want to make sure a hacker or other person has not added code to my site to monetize it for themselves without my knowledge.

So far my forum query at viglink has not produced much.

Aha! Looks like it's part of the CloudFlare service. I. satisfied. If an ISP uses CF then their customers will probably see this. CF is a great bunch of folks and a super product.

    What is Viglink?

CloudFlare has partnered with Viglink so you can track where the outbound links from your site are sending traffic. The service appends a click handler to your links and tracks where your visitors pass through. The list of outbound links appears on the lower right hand side of your Stats & Reports under Outbound Links. If you prefer not to gather this data, you can turn the feature off by going to your CloudFlare Settings page. If you are currently using some other system to add click handlers, tracking codes or affiliates to your links, VigLink is intelligent and will not affect the system you already have in place.

If you would like to turn Viglink off, please go to Your websites -> Settings -> CloudFlare Settings -> Outbound Links (toggle off).
