• Before I did the upgrade, whenever I write a post, I would click on the visual tab for easy typing instead of the code tab.

the visual tab is wysiwyg isn’t it?

now after the upgrade, I still have the ‘visual’ and the ‘code’ tab at the write post, but both tabs now showed the same thing, that’s the code style.

anyone out there could help me?

  • Logout, clear your browser cache and login to see if that resolves the problem.

If not I’d consider deleting the WordPress files, then reuploading, per Steps 7 and 8 in Upgrading_WordPress_Extended.

Doesn’t 2.5.1 require the user-based setting “use visual editor”? (under “user”).

Hi MichaelH, I did what you suggested, but it still didn’t work. even after I re-upload.

I have ‘checked’ the box that says, “Use the visual editor when writing” already.

    *scratch head*

Do you have CyStats installed? If so, disable it – there appears to be a conflict with CyStats and the wysiwyg editor. I had the same problem, but once I disabled CyStats, everything worked.

    Hey guys,

I’ve been having the same problem with the added headache that in my profile page there is no check box to turn the visual editor on or off, any ideas on that?

    TJ
