Duplicator
[resolved] What Username and Password does it need? (5 posts)

    Hi

I've got another thread about this, but I'm going to simplify the problem.... I've just completed the migration of a site using Duplicator...

To resave the permalinks I need to login to a WordPress admin account.

Can someone tell me WHAT account this might be asking for, because it is NOT the one associated with the site I am migrating?

I know this because I checked the username and reset the password before creating new downloads for the migration.

Could it be looking for another WordPress account?

    THanks

It will be any account that existed in the database when you duplicated the site. The plugin makes a copy of your database in this case the wp_users table and copies all the data over to the new database. So the username and password will be any user that existed at the time of duplication.

    Hope that helps!

    Hi

    Thanks for the reply.

I made sure that the username and password were checked prior to duplicating the site, especially as I have done this about five or six times now...

Maybe I need to create another user, then dupe the site and try again using the new user and password!

    Thanks
