What to do when admin can't log in due to lockout/hack attempt | WordPress.org

So it’s been almost 45mins of sustained login attempts, & they have somehow managed to guess(?) the admin username – so I’m locked out too.
What can I do in this situation?
Do I simply have to wait it out?

You might be having similar issue to everyone else, if you’re admin doesn’t come back up you might have to follow these instructions.
