I'm attempting to install WordPress as my website homepage (darkforestfilms.com) but I can't get it to load. I've been to about 12 different sites with installation tutorials and followed all of them to a T (or so I thought).

Please tell me what I'm doing wrong.

    Steps I've taken:

    1) Downloaded and unziped WordPress.

    2) Created a database for WordPress on my web server (startlogic).

As well as a MySQL user who has all privileges for accessing and modifying it.

    3) Renamed the wp-config-sample.php file to wp-config.php.

    4) Opened wp-config.php and filled in database details.

    5) Uploaded the files to my root directory (public_html).

When I type in http://www.darkforestfilms.com/wp-admin/install.php I get a server not found error. Please let me know if there's anything else I can provide to help you help me.

If you have any suggestions, links, etc... it's greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

What do you mean when you say you cannot get it to load? What does happen exactly?

I can't get darkforestfilms.com to resolve. Evidently your host doesn't have that dns record added. Talk to your host and make sure your domain name resolves before proceeding.

Thanks Jeremy! Apparently, I forgot to:

    A) Unlock my domain from godaddy.com

    B) Change my Name Servers to ns1.startlogic.com and ns2.startlogic.com
