I've been looking at lots of wordpress sites lately trying to find that one feature that my readers will love. Naturally i'm looking at http://www.wordpress.org as a prime example of what can be done with the wordpress engine.

Can anyone tell me what plugins are used here on this forum? I'm particularly interested in knowing about what ever it is that facilitates the user profile and the edit function which seems to have a very cool time limit.

    Thanks

This forum uses bbPress. I believe the "cool stuff" you're talking about just comes with that.

well, I can tell you that user profiles can be managed and displayed with the_author() stuff. All of that's in the codex (I'm not at my usual computer, or I'd pass along the link). As for the time limit on editing posts - well I don't know. But I'm sure it could be done! Maybe you could download bbpress and take a look at the code to se ehow it's done, and apply it to your WP install.
