    Hi,
The plugin uses WP_query to display results. It uses filters to join GEO my WP table and to search based on distance. The plugin runs the search queries only when submitting a search form.
So i think the answer to your question is that if your WordPress site can handle your high traffic there is no reason why GEO my WP wont.

    Hope it helps.

thanks for the reply …and the queries that do run would only run when someone is viewing a members profile for example if its buddypress correct?

how hard is this on the server >>> if i have 60 people all looking at a member profile showing the friends locations map at the same time ….what kind of load is that on mysql i’m wondering what do you think ? and is there anyone out there running this on a busy buddypress site?

I’m building a buddypress site with this plugin. It does seem to generate a lot of queries on the homepage, where I’m not (intentionally) loading GMW maps or search functions. I wish there were an option to disable GMW completely for certain post types or pages. Until then, I’m open to suggestions…

    @ Wlbeditor,
In the coming update I have been working the entire code of the plugin has been redone.
It should take care of many bugs and performance issues.
I have a beta ready for it. If you’d like to test it send me your email to info@geomywp.com and I will email it to you.

    Thank you
    Eyal
