   To register as a user for the forum, there is a form to fill out to gather information concerning the user. On that form (or using the "Edit" option for users who are already registered), there is a checkbox that says "Add me to the consultants list".
   I have done a little searching around on this site, and I don't understand what this checkbox does.

   If anyone knows and can shed some light on this topic, I would be very grateful.

   I opted to be on it, but I haven't gotten much from it recently. Basically, if someone wants to pay someone to help them, they can email in to the list and get help.

   @micahcooksey: Thanks for the reply! That sounds like a good answer. But how is that different than the WP-pro mailing list?
